CrewMention

When homeowners ask AI who to call, does it say your name?

CrewMention asks ChatGPT, Gemini, and other AI assistants the questions your customers ask, many times over. Then it shows you how often you get recommended, who gets picked instead, and what to fix.

Example only. Business names are fictional.

Your next customer might never see a search results page

More homeowners now ask an AI assistant for a recommendation instead of scrolling through ten links. The assistant names a few businesses and the conversation is over. If you're not in that short list, you don't lose a ranking. You lose the call, and you never find out it happened.

You can't see this from your side. There's no report from the assistants, and ranking well on Google doesn't guarantee you get named. That's the gap CrewMention measures.

What your check tells you

  • How often you're named

Your mention rate across real customer questions, for each assistant. A number you can track, not a one-off screenshot.

  • Who gets named instead

The competitors the assistants recommend in your area, and how often each one comes up.

  • What AI reads about you

The review sites, directories, and pages the assistants rely on, and where your information is missing or wrong.

  • What to fix first

A short list of changes in plain language, ordered by how much they're likely to matter. Most you can do yourself in an afternoon.

How it works

  1. Tell us where you work

Your business name, trade, and service area. That's all we need. No logins, no calls.

  2. We ask the questions

We run the questions your customers actually ask, phrased the ways real people phrase them, across several assistants, and repeat each one because answers change from run to run.

  3. You get the report

Your numbers, your competitors, and your fixes. On the monthly plan we re-test every month so you can see what moved.

First fixes

  1. Your business hours and service area differ across three directories. Assistants trust consistent details.
  2. Your website never says "leak repair" or "emergency" anywhere, the two things people ask about most.
  3. The businesses named most have more recent reviews that mention specific jobs. Ask your next ten customers to describe the work.

Built for the trades

Each trade gets asked different questions, so each check uses a question set built for that trade.

Questions

What is AI search visibility?

It's how often AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity name your business when someone asks for a recommendation. When a homeowner asks an assistant who to call for a roof leak, it usually names two to four companies. Visibility is whether you're one of them.

Which AI assistants do you check?

We check the major consumer assistants people use to find local services, including ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Perplexity. The report shows results for each one separately, because they often disagree.

Why is the result a rate instead of a yes or no?

AI assistants don't give the same answer every time. The same question can name different businesses on different runs. So we ask each question many times and report how often you're named. A single screenshot can make you look better or worse than you really are.

Is this the same as SEO?

They overlap, but they're not the same. Ranking well on Google helps, but assistants also lean on review sites, directories, and how clearly your website describes what you do and where. Plenty of businesses rank on Google and still never get named by AI.

Do you need access to my accounts?

No. The check uses only public information, the same things an AI assistant can see. You don't share any passwords or logins.

Can you guarantee AI will recommend my business?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who says they can. Nobody controls what AI assistants say. What we can do is measure where you stand, show you what the assistants are reading about you, and track whether the fixes move your numbers.

How long do fixes take to show up?

It varies. Some changes, like fixing your business details on directories, can show up within weeks. Others, like building up reviews, take months. The monthly plan re-tests so you can see what's working instead of guessing.
